DEVELOPMENT: We set out to craft a full valved catback exhaust system that would offer great power gains with valves open, a stealth mode with valves closed, and a premium experience without the premium price – we don’t believe in the “M tax”. With valves open, exhaust is free to exit straight through an x-pipe to smooth the tone and 2.75″ piping for maximum power. RK-Tunes reports that our development M4 made over 10whp more than similar cars with identical mods prior to a tune – the highest horsepower untuned car they’ve ever baselined.
SOUND: Choose between Resonated and Non-Resonated exhausts. We recognize that a large amount of owners upgrade to catless downpipes, which can add harshness and raspiness to any exhaust setup. As a result we offer optional resonators which can help with minimizing some of the metallic bite and bark when aftermarket downpipes are used. Each combination has a unique tone:
Stock Downpipes + Non-Resonated Exhaust: Get a more aggressive tone than M-Performance at a better value.
Stock Downpipes + Resonated Exhaust: Adding resonators with stock downpipes transmits more tone into the cabin (a very slight perceivable rumble that you can feel – which we enjoy) while quieting down the exhaust from the outside slightly. Valves closed will sound like factory – full on stealth mode.
Aftermarket Downpipes + Non-Resonated Exhaust: If you want an all out, aggressive note (especially with burble tunes) the full song of the S55 is unleashed. For when you like the raw sound of straight pipes, but still want to be able to drive through your neighborhood at night.
Aftermarket Downpipes + Resonated Exhaust: Resonators take some of the harshness / rasp out of the exhaust note and smooth the transition between valves closed and open. Maximum power with as reserved a sound as possible for a street car.
CONSTRUCTION: Each system is made from mandrel bent .060″ T304L stainless steel tubing and incorporates a high quality muffler made with fortified casings in the interest of durability – built to withstand the abuse of 600+ ft-lbs of torque. We use high quality Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty T-bolt clamps to hold the exhaust tips securely onto the system. The outer tips have a 1/2″ of adjustment for tip depth whereas the inside tips can be setup staggered like the OEM exhaust or flush for a unique look. Our black satin tips are PVD coated for a long lasting, heat proof finish.
Default tip sizing is designed for the OEM / OEM style diffusers. For extended aftermarket pieces such as the Vorsteiner carbon fiber diffuser, we offer 1″ longer tips. We recommend selecting the OEM diffuser style if your diffuser is not aggressive.
BOLT ON AND GO: Each exhaust is tested in a fixture to ensure perfect fitment. Thorough installation instructions are included in the box for a straightforward install that can be performed by most DIY enthusiasts. Valve functionality is just like OEM and the factory actuators are reused.

+ We do not recommend aggressively driving the car with valves closed at high RPM using an aftermarket valve controller. To achieve such a reserved sound with valves closed the internal muffler pipe sizing is reduced (like most valved systems) – great for tone but not ideal for performance.
